School-Age Child Care

Cleveland Child Care serves children who are enrolled in Kindergarten (or eligible to enroll in Kindergarten) through 12 years of age.

Learning & Enrichment for Ages K-12

Our curriculum, Building the Primary Classroom / K-12 Standards, aligns with Ohio’s K-12 education standards to support student learning and development.

We welcome children from Kindergarten (or those eligible to enroll) through age 12, providing structured care throughout the year:
  • School Year Program – Offering before-and-after care and support during school breaks. Children in our program can receive homework help in a focused learning environment.
  • Summer Day Camp – Providing free meals, themed bi-weekly camps (such as cooking, art, science, and music), field trips, spirit weeks, outdoor play, organized games, and hands-on gardening in our onsite garden.
With engaging activities year-round, we create a fun and supportive space for learning, growth, and exploration.

Learning & Enrichment

Our summer camp is always an adventure. For children ages 5-12 years old, this program offers field trips every other week,
intentional onsite activity planning, and the children help with the onsite children’s garden.

Introducing children to musical
instruments, songwriting, recording, and video production, we integrate physical activities, interactive movements, dancing, and exercise to create a dynamic and enriching experience.

Designed to spark the mind and curiosity of a child, our garden features playful winding pathways, a green bean tunnel, a vine fort, a child-sized picnic table with handcrafted tree stump chairs, and a bridge that children love to walk across.

Step Up To Quality

At Cleveland Child Care, we believe in providing exceptional early learning experiences that go beyond the basics. That’s why we proudly participate in Step Up to Quality (SUTQ)—Ohio’s three-tier quality rating and improvement system for early learning programs.

SUTQ goes beyond the minimum licensing requirements to assess and enhance key areas of early education, including:

  • Learning & Development: High-quality curriculum, assessments, and child screenings;
  • Administration & Leadership: Supportive staff-child interactions, continuous program improvement;
  • Staff Quality & Professional Development: Ongoing education and training for childcare professionals;
  • Family & Community Partnerships: Strong family engagement and access to community resources.
